The New Year Brings Changes to Wayzata
Recycling in 2013 will now be made easy in Wayzata! Single-Sort Recycling is Coming!

The City of Wayzata is beginning a Single-Sort Recycling Program which will be a great benefit to residences. Instead of sorting recyclables by category, all recyclables will now go into single 65-gallon recyclables cart.  Randy’s Environmental Services is scheduled to deliver the new 65-gallon recyclables carts the week of January 7, 2013.  Click here to determine your first every other week collection.

Randy’s Environmental Services is also changing the way they recycle organics. The separate organics waste cart and pick-up are going away, and one less truck will be traveling your street. The new Blue Bag Organics™ Curbside Composting System will begin mid-January, using the same truck that picks up your regular household trash.

To enjoy the benefits of Blue Bag Organics, Wayzata residents must sign up. Call 763-972-3335 or email and say, “Please sign me up for Blue Bag Organics” by January 4 to receive the new Blue Bag Organics items delivered on January 7, 2013. If you miss the first delivery date, you may call to add the Blue Bag Organics service at any time.

Randy’s Environmental Services is scheduled to remove residents’ brown organics waste carts on January 7, 2013. If Randy’s is unable to collect all previously used organics carts that day, they will be out on January 14, 2013 to remove any left behind the previous week.
