Klapprich Park Offers Both a Hockey and Ice Skating Rink Open to the Public

The Klapprich Park ice skating rink is open in Wayzata! It’s open to the public, providing a warming house and an ice hockey rink, too. You could be an Olympic figure skater in the making, or haven’t tried on skates for years. Whatever the case, you should get out there and have some good old fashion winter fun.

The rink is located near the water tower off of Wayzata Blvd. E. at 340 Park St. E. One of the most popular outdoor recreational parks in the area, locals come in the summer to use to playground and picnic tables. In the winter, it turns into an ice skater’s dream, with two rinks to choose from and a large warming house to relax in. Practice your figure eights and your slap shots this week, but bundle up – it’s going to be a cold one!

Open from 3 to 10 p.m. during the weekdays and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on the weekends, there is always a perfect time to bring the family outside. It will be open through February, so you could be a professional skater by Spring!
