Dig Those Clubs Out for the 30th Annual Chilly Open at Wayzata Bay

Golfing in the winter? Yes – we partake in this traditional nice weather sport in the middle of a frozen tundra – only in Minnesota! The ‘Chilly Open’ is expected to have over 1,000 people attending on Wayzata Bay on Saturday, February 8th. Bundle up and get your clubs out! It is sure to be a unique, fun event for the family.

Three 9-hole golf course will be set up on Lake Minnetonka. This is the event’s 30th anniversary with an Olympics theme! Earn your gold medal by spending the days with other locals in a different kind of golf tournament. You have to register early for this event to participate Golfers can go online at www.wayzatachillyopen.com or call the Wayzata Chamber at 952-473-9595.

Tickets are $40 per person, and the tee times are 11 a.m. or 1 p.m. next Saturday. Hope to see you there in your warmest clothes, ready to get a hole-in-one! Get your practice in so you can be ready for the spring season, where you’ll see more green than white.
