Library Offers Summer Fun Reading Programs for All Ages
Find plenty of things to do during the summer months at the local Washington Township Library. They offer an assortment of classes for all ages that can stimulate interest in reading. Some classes even involve their personal therapy dog, Murray. Also, one can find Lego Mania Mondays, mystery book readings and many more programs offered this month.
PAWS to Read is the class that their registered dog Murray is there to keep everyone company, while discussing the weekly book choice. He loves to be read to, so participants are encouraged to take a 10 minute session with Murray to get some extra practice. Each person receives a free book to take home, and maybe read to your own pooch.
The next class is on July 15 from 6 to 6:30 p.m. and 7 to 7:30 p.m. in Children’s Room A, located in the library. Make reservations by calling them at 272-4818.
Another fun class for the kids is LEGO Mania Mondays. This hands-on program allows children to create something using their imagination, and LEGOS, of course. The next class is set for July 14 from 10 to 11 a.m. and is open to public. They will provide the LEGOS, just bring some ideas on what to create for an hour of exciting building.
