Board of Directors Member Pam Klein Achieved President’s Award

The Washington Township Schools Foundation is aimed at funding programs that allow students of the Metropolitan School District to achieve excellence in their academic, creative and social development. According to their website, since 1965 the foundation has been meeting the needs of their children.

Being able to provide programs that enrich the students’ education in Washington Township couldn’t be possible without the help of funding grants. By supporting professional development, staff recognition and projects that enhance the school district, they are able to keep achieving their goals.

At the final board meeting of the 2013-2014 school year, outgoing Board President Tim George presented the President’s Award to Pam Klein. This particular award is given each year to a member of the Board of Directors for wise counsel and dedicated service to advance the mission of the Foundation, according to the website.

The Board also welcomed new members Karri Alberti, Mike Akers, Jim Smith, Laurie Turner and Pam Weiger before Tim Goerge passed the gavel to Kris Cudahy, Board President for 2014-15. The Executive Board for 2014-15 will include Past President Tim George; President Elect Dena Rae; VP Development Pam Klein; VP Grants Tom Oestreich Communications Brian; Treasurer Mike Manion; Assistant Treasurer Kathy Null; and Secretary Pam Freese.
