Waconia Teachers Hold ‘Camp for a Cause’

Two Waconia teachers, Peter Potter and Doug Sayles, held the 6th annual Winter Campout at Southview last weekend as part of a service learning.

According to the Sun Patriot, the project was related to Martin Luther King Jr. Day and “Men of the Chalk,” which is a group of ISD #110 male teachers who work to show kids how to give back to the community.

Donations of cash, clothing and other necessities were collected for the Waconia United Food Shelf and other area nonprofits.
