Waconia School District Selects New Superintendent

The Waconia School Board voted unanimously to enter into contract negotiations with superintendent candidate Patrick Devine after a week of interviews with three finalists, according to the Sun Patriot. There were originally eight applicants for the position.

Devine is currently working as the middle school principal for Litchfield Public Schools. Devine has a Bachelor’s degree in mathematics education from Black Hills State University, a Master’s degree and a 6th year Superintendent Certification in Educational Leadership from St. Cloud State University, the paper reported.

Among other duties, the new superintendent will take on recently reported facilities projects for the Waconia School District.
