Waconia Man Honored by Eden Prairie Police For Helping Save a Life

The Eden Prairie Police Department honored a Waconia man, and one other person, who helped save a stranger’s life in October.

According to the Eden Prairie News, on Jan. 17, Eden Prairie Police Sgt. Matt Sackett presented Christopher Lundgren of Waconia and Nick Kettner of Golden Valley with the police department’s Commendation Award. Police say the two men helped to save the life of a man who was threatening to jump from a bridge onto a roadway underneath in Eden Prairie.

The Commendation Award is given by the police chief to personnel or citizens “for excellent or unusual accomplishments or actions as acknowledged by other officers, their supervisors or concerned citizens,” according to the article.
