Join the Waconia in celebrating  Arbor Day! This year’s event will be on Thursday, April 18 from 6:00pm-7:45pm starting at Brook Peterson Park as well as Dakota Rail Trail. Experience the tradition that helps keep Waconia clean and green with trees!

Waconia is inviting it’s residences to get outside and help! This is a great way to help clean up the community and to meet others.  By participating in this event, YOU will help the City of Waconia maintain our status as a member of Tree City USA.  Help plant a tree and then have your photo taken with the Tree City USA banner! Immediately following this short program, head out to Mayer and help the Parks & Recreation Department clean up our segment of the Dakota Rail Trail.

Arbor Day is a fun, educational event for the whole family and is an important piece to keeping Waconia’ named as a “Tree City USA.” In order to keep this title the Town must keep a commitment to enhancing the public’s awareness for trees within the community through events and educational opportunities such as the annual Arbor Day celebration.

Please Remember:
– Bring a shovel, racks or gloves if you have them
