Trending Upward; Thrift Shopping is Expanding in Waconia

You might have noticed the ever-growing demand for antiques these days. Designers have been incorporating them into modern homes to give it that “antique chic” look, everyone loves. Just search local magazines, and popular sites like Etsy to see why it’s so timeless.

Trending Upward is located at Promise Community Church in Waconia, it is an occasional store, meaning it is open only the first weekend of the month from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. These once-a-month stores give owners a chance to build their inventory from local crafts and donations.
Twenty percent of all profits go towards the local Waconia United Food Shelf and Promise Community Church. Since, the grand opening October 3rd they have been getting great feedback and sales for their town. Eventually, the plan is to partner with other charities to promote each other and further their donation money.

The thrift shop is accepting donations of clothing and household items, that can be dropped off during its business hours or you can make an appointment on their website: www.TrendingUpward.org.
In addition, with every donation that person will get a $1 off coupon to use towards another purchase. Next time the doors open is November 7th through the 9th. Bring some things to donate and shop around with your family. You are bound to find something special in Waconia!
