Sharpen your skates
With temperatures dropping in Waconia it’ll be just a matter of time before we start seeing the outdoor skating rink be flooded and open to the public (weather permitting).  The outdoor pleasure skating rink is located at Brook Peterson Park on the west side of the ice arena. This outdoor rink is flooded once the conditions are right for flooding. Every effort is made to make the ice ideal for public use. The warming house is unattended and left open for all skaters to use. Rink lights are turned on at dusk and off at 10pm each evening. (Please note: If vandalism occurs, the Parks and Recreation Department reserves the right to close the warming house.  Please contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 952-442-5802 with any questions.
If it gets too chilly outside that doesn’t need to stop the fun, head inside and enjoy the indoor ice arena which also offers skating lessons!
