Oakwood Community Church Dedicates New Building

Nearly 160 years after the dedication of its first building, Oakwood Community Church has dedicated its new, modern building to the Lord.

According to the Sun Patriot, the church’s new digs are located just east of Waconia on County Road 10 and Klein Drive. The new building is 17,000 square feet and features sanctuary that sests 290 people, spacious classrooms, lots of administrative space with offices and work stations.

“The new building puts a face to a name,” Morgan Traynor, co-chair of the building committee, told the newspaper. “It is where the people who call Oakwood their home can continue to share Jesus’ teachings to those in Waconia and Carver County.”
