Celebrate Arbor Day by Planting Trees at Waconia’s Waterford Park

National Arbor Day is April 29 and Waconia is celebrating the annual tradition a little early with its Arbor Day Celebration from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, April 21 at Waterford Park, 1702 Ravencroft Rd.

The celebration aims to provide an opportunity to teach community members about the value of trees—and also uphold Waconia’s standing as a member of Tree City USA.

In addition, following the celebration the community is also invited to do a little spring-cleaning of the Parks & Recreation Department’s Adopt-A-Trail section on the Dakota Rail Regional Trail. All equipment and supplies will be supplied for volunteers.
