New Civic Center Offers Educational, Creative and Fitness Classes

Known as “Anthem’s Living Room,” the Anthem Civic Building is now completely open to the public with lots of activities available daily. Located at 3701 W. Anthem Way, they have been working to get the new center finished by this summer for a comfortable place for all ages to spend time.

The multi-purpose building is “intended to encourage and inspire social, cultural, civic, and educational interaction, while becoming a community hub for all who visit”, according to Anthem Community Council website.

There are both indoor and outdoor spaces for recreation, programs, classes and other fun events that the civic center plans on holding. Check out their monthly calender to see what exactly is going on each day, and to find activities that fit specific lifestyles. Residents can even rent out community rooms for social happenings or meetings, making meet ups easy and affordable.

Before the Anthem Civic Building was finished there were less choices on where family and friends could get together and spend some quality time together. The Center is also a safe haven with visible law enforcement present at all time.

Like other community centers, Anthems’ features educational, creative and fitness classes that extend to every age group. From small children that want to learn how to swim to young adults that want to shake it on the dance floor in a Zumba class. Everyone can find something to benefit their bodies and minds.

Anthem’s living room is open to the public and features local artwork on display. It literally feels like it is home once people step into the building and are greeted with a warm smile and familiar faces from around the community.

Hours are Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Fridays from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesdays from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturdays from 7 a.m. to noon. They are closed on Sundays. For more information visit their website at www.onlineatanthem.com/anthem-civic-building.
