Anthem Street Hockey League Plays Sundays at Sunrise
Every Sunday morning a group of devoted street hockey players meet to take on each other during the early sunrise over Anthem! You will hear the sounds of clanking hockey sticks and pucks smacking up against the pavement around 7 a.m. sharp – weekly. These guys get together to form their own league, ranging in ages from 15 to 50-years-old!
The Anthem Street Hockey League has been in full swing – no pun intended – for about eight years. Group organizer Wajeh Khan has about 25 people signed up with roughly 15 regulars each week. To these men it is more than a game; it is a great way to have a multi-generational meeting and workout!
Even when the temps rise to above 100 in the summers, they are still devoted to meeting each Sunday. You can join a street hockey team too! Send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org to sign up and receive notifications about the league. Make some new friends and try something different this year.
