Anthem Introduces New Welcome Signs at Exit Ramps
Started in 2012, the Anthem Community Council Economic Development Committee decided to work with other nonprofits to redo the ‘Welcome Signs’ located around Anthem. Although, the signs have been greeting residents and guests for years, they definitely needed a makeover.
The Welcome Signs found at the Daisy Mountain Drive and Anthem Way exits now feature the local nonprofit organizations. Anthem wanted to highlight their great community organizations that have made the city a landmark for teamwork and volunteer involvement.
“We had space for eight organizations on each sign,” said Kristi Northcutt, director of communications and public affairs, in the Anthem Community Council article. “When eleven organizations applied almost simultaneously, we added onto the signs so that no one was turned away.”
According to the city council website, the signs were installed and are maintained by the ACC Parks & Facilities Maintenance Department. The nonprofit organization panels will be featured for a period of five years, at which time a reapplication process will open.
