Schools Expand as Parker Continues to Grow

With the continuous fast-growth of Parker, the schools are keeping pace. The American Academy Charter School will no longer have a waiting list! They plan on adding an expansion of classrooms for the 2014 – 2015 school year.

Currently serving pre-Kindergarten through eighth grade, the public charter school has been in need of more room! Finishing the final touches of the third floor, installing lockers, and adding more furniture is underway, with the goal of completion by fall. The addition is going to allow 70 more sixth and seventh graders to join the school!

Also, quality of the education and student – teacher ratios will remain fully intact. American Academy plans on hiring 10 new teaching positions with the already 41 teachers on staff. The school is hosting a “prospective employee information meeting” from 6:30-7:30 p.m. April 10. As the Parker area continues as a highly desired place to live, the schools will continue to keep up.
