Parker’s Shave the Mayor Event Raises $33K

Parker’s Shave the Mayor event raised major money for the St. Baldrick’s Foundation, which is a volunteer-driven charity committed to funding research to find cures for childhood cancers.

According to the Parker Chronicle, the event raised $33,000, which far exceeded its $10,000 goal. A total of 53 participated in the event to get “shaved” along with Mayor Mike Waid.

This was the event’s third year. The event raised $8,646 and $18,846 in year one and two, respectively.
