Want to see Parker‘s Mayor Mike Waid get his head shaved? We sure do! For the second time around, he is supporting childhood cancer research by going bald. In order to raise the money, his goal is to get people to donate as at least $200.
There will be another dozen participants as well. Waid is hoping that as many as 25 people decide to join in on the shaving event by the time event rolls around! It certainly draws a massive local crowd, watching the hair fall to the ground for a good cause. St. Baldrick’s head-shaving event is from 2 to 5 p.m. this Saturday, April 5th. Town council members Debbie Lewis and Joshua Rivero are also among the other “shavees”.
Come to the Parker Arts, Culture and Events Center to watch, or even participate, this weekend! You can help by either signing up to be shaved at the event, make a donation towards a shavee of your choice, and help celebrate at the PACE Center afterwards.
