Students should have no reason to complain about what’s being served up for lunch in the Douglas County School District (DCSD)—and the parents can now attest to that.
According to the Parker Chronicle, the school district recently hosted A Taste of DCSD to show parents exactly what sort of healthy, delicious foods are being served to their kids.
“We’re not the typical lunch ladies or lunch dudes,” DCSD chef Jason Morse told the Chronicle. “We’re a culinary team.”
The annual tasting event gave students and parents a look at the nutritional information for all the meals, and also allowed kids to get a little taste of some of the recipes.
DCSD includes Parker, Highlands Ranch and Castle Rock.
