Dreams of snow and sugar plums dance in the Parker resident heads, as they plan on having a grand time at the annual Parker Christmas Carriage Parade. There are no signs of beautiful snowflakes for this weekend, but the horses will still put on an amazing show. The glimmer of their shiny coats, along with the onlookers, will set the tone for the holidays.
Parker locals believe that getting back to the basics is what makes this time of year so special. As the traditional Carriage Parade is just around the corner, they wait patiently to get together and share their connection. The town is already covered in sparkly decorations, with splashes of red and green wreathes on most doors. December 14th can’t come soon enough for this happy community.
Parading down Mainstreet and around the Victorian Drive loop pays tribute to Parker‘s famous equestrian history. This year promises an even larger turnout, because of the increased number of horse entries. Visit www.parkeronline.org/carriageparade for parking rules and more information on the holiday event.
