Annual ‘Shave the Mayor’ Even Set for April 18

Town Mayor Mike Waid and more than 30 other participants are gearing up for the third annual “Shave the Mayor” event on April 18.

According to a city release, the annual event features the mayor and other participants shaving their locks in support of the St. Baldrick’s foundation and the fight against pediatric cancer.

“Our lives are all touched by cancer in some way – through our families, friends or coworkers,” Waid said in a city press release. “This event is one small way we can all make a big difference for the childhood cancer community and help fund research to find cures.”

The event will take place at 10 a.m. April 18 at the Vehicle Vault, located at 18301 Lincoln Meadows Parkway in Parker. Read the full release with more details here.
