Annual Parker Christmas Carriage Parade is Dec. 13

Downtown Parker’s annual Christmas Carriage Parade I set for noon Saturday, Dec. 13 and all are welcome to come and be festive. The parade will start heading west on Mainstreet right at noon.

According to a city press release, the parade fills the streets with people ready to see marching bands, equestrian entries and catch a glimpse of Mr. and Mrs. Claus. In addition to the parade, spectators can also enjoy a petting zoo and pony rides, holiday ice sculpting, winter markets and get a photo with Santa.

This year’s parade theme is “Let it Snow” and its sponsored by Rocky Vista University. Photos with Santa will be available after the parade for $5 (cash only) from 1 to 3 p.m. in the O’Brien Park Gazebo. Event-goers can enjoy the ice sculpting, courtesy of Crown Crest of Parker, Swingle Lawn, Tree and Landscaping and Xfinity, and a petting zoo and pony rides from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. And finally, the Home for the Holidays Winter Market will be held in the park from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
