Two Phoenix Country Day School Students Compete in Free Throw Shooting Contest
Two Phoenix Country Day School students fared well at the regional Elks Club National Free-Throw Shooting Contest Jan. 7, both placing high and advancing to the state championships.
According to the Paradise Valley Independent, Phoenix Country Day School second-grader Carson Rose finished third in the 8-9 year-old division at the Elks Club National Free-Throw Shooting Competition. In addition, his brother Logan, a fourth grader at the school, won the 10-11 year-old division.
The State Championships is set for Feb. 11 in Apache Junction. Then according to the article, winners of the state championships will move on to compete against champions from 11 other states and U.S. territories in Las Vegas later in the month. At that event, they’ll vie for a spot at the national championship in Chicago.
