Mountain Shadows Resort Has Officially Reopened
After closing in 2004, the new and improved Mountain Shadows Resort reopened its doors on April 1.
According to the Paradise Valley Independent, the original Mountain Shadows opened in 1959, operating before Paradise Valley was even incorporated. After its closure it stood vacant until it was demolished in 2014.
Now after a $100 million redevelopment, the new resort features 183 guest rooms, a presidential suite facing Camelback Mountain, a full-service restaurant, two pools, a high-tech fitness facility, an 18-hole par-3 golf course and grill, according to the article. In addition, there’s also 37,500 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.
