Minnetonka’s Nastaran Nassiri Receives Scholarship for Educational Activism
Minnetonka High School’s Nastaran Nassiri recently received a $600 scholarship for her work in educational activism in both Minnetonka and Afghanistan.
Applicants were required to write a one-page essay and picking from the League’s motto “Educate, Advocate and Reform,” explain how they have used the concept in their school, work place or community.
“Nastaran’s essay was the essence [of] our motto, ‘educate, advocate and reform,’” League of Women Voters South Tonka panel judge Penny Trunnell told the newspaper.
