Minnetonka Student Selling Key Lime Pies to Benefit Hurricane Victims
A Minnetonka teen is selling homemade pies to raise money for hurricane relief efforts.
According to the Sun Sailor, Julia Steidl, 13, of Minnetonka, is baking and selling homemade key lime pies to raise money to donate to Hurricane Irma relief efforts in the Florida Keys.
The Florida Keys hold a special place in Steidl’s heart, the newspaper said, as her parents got married there and her family vacations in the area often.
So far, the Minnetonka Middle School West eighth grader has made and delivered 24 pies, raising more than $1,000, the article said, and there are still about 15 more orders to fill.
