Minnetonka Parks and Trails – Are you Ready for the Outdoors?
If you live in Minnetonka you are probably aware of the many opportunities to spend time outdoors. With so many parks and trails throughout the city, you can always find somewhere to spend your time.
Since opening its first park in 1959 – Gro Tonka – the area has become known for its parks, trails, and overall dedication to the outdoors.
At this time, there are more than 44 neighborhood parks and five community parks within the city limits. And of course, Gro Tonka is still attracting people from all over the area.
With the help of the Park and Trail Maintenance division, all the parks and trails in the city are well kept. Along with this, they are in charge of multiple athletic fields as well as 10+ hockey and skating rink.
Although Minnetonka is already known for offering some of the best parks and trails in the state, the city is not stopping there. Instead, they have a park and trail system plan in place to ensure that the areas stays the same for future generations.
If you live in the City of Minnetonka you should get used to spending time outdoors. With so many parks and more than 100 miles of trails, you will always have somewhere to go when you want to enjoy the fresh air.
