Minnetonka Names New Assistant High School Principal

Minnetonka High School’s next assistant principal will be Freya Schirmacher.

According to a district press release, Schirmacher will assume the role effective July 1.

“I was deeply impressed with Ms. Schirmacher’s strong focus on relationships, her instructional background and experience as an instructional coach, and her commitment to ensure that all students are supported and challenged,” Minnetonka High School Principal Jeffrey Erickson said in the release. “She will be a great and positive asset to the administrative team, and I feel fortunate that she will be joining Minnetonka High School. I look forward to staff meeting her soon.”

Schirmacher is currently serving as the Administrative Dean of Students for Edgewood Middle School in the Mounds View School District, and will bring 12 years of educational leadership and teaching experience to the district.
