Minnetonka High’s Fall Musical to Open Nov. 8
Minnetonka High School’s fall musical, Urinetown, will open to the public Nov. 8.
The musical comedy with a horrible title is a “hilarious tale of greed, corruption, love and revolution in a time when water is worth its weight in gold,” according to a district press release.
Here’s a little more on the plot of this Tony Award-winning musical:
“In a Gotham-like city, a terrible water shortage following a 20-year drought has led to a government-enforced ban on private toilets. The citizens must use public amenities, regulated by a single malevolent company that profits by charging admission for one of humanity’s most basic needs. Amid the people, a hero decides he’s had enough, and plans a revolution to lead them all to freedom!”
Shows will run at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22, and 2 p.m. Nov. 9. Ticket are $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and $12 for youth. There is also reserved seating and group rates available.
