Minnetonka High School Boys Alpine Ski Team Wins State Title

The Minnetonka High School boys alpine ski team has won its second consecutive state title.

According to the Lakeshore Weekly News, the Minnetonka High School boys alpine ski team won its second consecutive state title Feb. 14, with a team score of 157, which was 10 points better than Lakeville South High School, and 21 points better than Edina High School.

The team was led by sophomore Alex Piguillem, who posted a two-run combined time of 1:17.14, and sophomore Eli Quist, who finished just three-hundredths of a second behind Piguillem with a combined time of 1:17.17, the article said.

Meanwhile, the Minnetonka girls’ alpine skiing team placed third behind Stillwater and Mankato West, the report said.
