But how do you know which Realtor is right for you? Or even more, which Realtors are worth your time and money?


4 Questions To Ask Your Potential Minnetonka Realtor


1 – Can I Call Your References?

Calling references is a good idea no matter who you may be hiring, whether a contractor, realtor or anyone. When you talk to their references, ask how quickly did the realtor get back to them, did they always look out for their clients interests first and would you use them again. Also, when asking for references, ask for their last 3 clients, this will give you the best representation of their work.

2 – How Long Have You Been A Realtor?

When you hire a Realtor, you want someone who knows the market and knows what they are doing. This does not mean that someone new to the business doesn’t know what they are doing, but if they are new, make sure they have a good support system with their brokerage.

3 – How Many Days Do Your Homes Sell In (on average) And How Close To Asking Price?

These two questions will help you find out how well your potential Realtor knows their market. If their homes are selling faster than average for the area and for closer to asking price, this means that the realtor knows that market and how to properly price homes.


4 – How Many Clients Do You Currently Have?

This question can be used in one of two ways. If a Realtor only has a couple clients, it may be because they do not have a reputation as a top Realtor in the area. But, not having a lot of clients could also mean that they have more time to devote to you. If a Realtor has many clients, this probably means they know the area and have a good reputation, but it could also mean they are extremely busy and will not be available for hand holding.
