Young Love in Old Germany – ‘Spring Awakening’ Opens at Town Hall Arts Center

‘Spring Awakening’ is this season’s headliner at the Littleton Town Hall Arts Center. Based on the play by Frank Wedekind, the story entails adolescent behavior in Germany, 1891. The play has been drawing crowds to this racy story of two lovers that journey through turmoil in to their adulthood.

With their own take on the familiar playwright, the music and acting are still very similar to the original. The books and lyrics are by Steven Sater, and the music is by Duncan Sheik. It is, indeed, an enthralling adventure to watch unfold in front of your eyes! ‘Spring Awakening’ has high energy, rock music that pairs with the desperation of the two star teenagers.

The play is running through April until May 4th. This would be a great night out in Littleton with  friends. The play is rated-R for mature content, they don’t recommend children. You can buy tickets online at www.townhallartscenter.com or give them a call at 303-794-2787.
