The results of Littleton’s 2014 Resident Survey is definitely something that city officials are proud of. According to a city release, a whopping 96 percent of businesses and 94 percent of residents rated their overall quality of life as either “good” or “excellent.”
“People love living in Littleton,” Kelli Narde, the city’s communications director, said in the release. “We have active, healthy neighborhoods, top-ranked schools, easy access to open space and trails, and a proud history. Littleton residents and businesses know and appreciate these amenities and the survey confirms it.”
In addition, the survey revealed that residents and businesses believe the redevelopment of aging shopping centers and neighborhoods needs to be a focus for the city in the coming years.
The survey was conducted by Boulder-based National Research Center, which is the same vendor the city used in 2012. The resident survey was mailed to 3,000 randomly-selected households, with 683 of those being completed and returned. As for the businesses survey, that was sent to 1,000 randomly-selected spots with 105 being completed.
