Littleton’s Tree Planting Program Returns in 2015

Littleton’s annual Spring Tree Planting Program has returned. According to a city release, interested residents can fill out an application and turn in a check for desired trees until March 20.

The program aims to encourage tree planting, species diversity and water conservation and is open to all property owners in the city, and there are 17 different species available this year. Program participants pay just $30 for bare root trees and $50 for container and balled and burlapped (B&B) trees. All trees must be planted within the Littleton city limits, the release said. Trees will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Tree pick-up is set for 8 a.m. to noon on April 18 at the Littleton Service Center, 1800 West Belleview Ave. For more information on the program, click here.
