A Littleton man spent a lot of time and effort to make his pumpkin patch grow well this season. As discovered by 9NEWS, Gary Grande produced a seriously “grande” pumpkin this year.
According to the news organization, Grande grew a massive pumpkin this season that weighed in at 1,170 pounds.
“A lot of time and effort goes into this,” Grande told 9NEWS. “My wife calls herself a pumpkin widow.”
Grande is part of a group called the Rocky Mountain Giant Vegetable Growers, where growing large fruits and veggies is a competitive sport. Currently, the state’s largest pumpkin record is at 1,478 pounds, 9NEWS reported.
