Douglas County School District Receives Green Ribbon Award
Douglas County School District (DCSD) has earned the first ever U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools District Sustainability Award.
DCSD was nominated for the Green Ribbon School District Sustainability Award by the Colorado Department of Education and is one of sixty-four schools throughout the United States and only the one of two out Colorado to be honored for their exemplary efforts to reduce environmental impact and utility costs, promote better health and wellness, and ensure effective environmental education, including civics and green career pathways.
