Proposed Housing Development To Add 1,000 New Homes

As Lakeville’s population continues to grow, so does home construction. Canadian builder, Mattamy Homes, proposed the housing development on a 470 acre parcel by Cedar Avenue, south of Dodd Boulevard. While the development will require a lot more time, there will be 1,000 single-family homes and townhouses popping up within the next decade.

The last large housing project was in 2005 when the city approved the Spirit of Brandtjen Farm, a popular neighborhood containing about 2,ooo homes! The new development will include a clubhouse and small community parks throughout the area.

Construction should begin a year from now, making Lakeville the place to live! It is convenient for any lifestyle, as well as a excellent place to work and play.
