Lakeville’s Watershed Cleanup & Earth Day Celebration is April 25

April 22 is Earth Day and to commemorate the day, Lakeville is holding celebration and cleanup events on Saturday, April 25. Here are the details for both events, according to the City of Lakeville’s website:

Watershed Cleanup Day
9-11:30 a.m. (Call 952-985-4500 to register.)

Want to be a part of something big? Want to do something to help the earth? Join us for our Earth Day tradition of cleaning up debris from the City’s trails, roadways, parks, and waterways at our annual Watershed Cleanup Day and Earth Day celebration.

Not only will you feel great about volunteering, but you will also get a T-shirt (while supplies last), and you can participate in our Earth Day celebration where you can learn more about helping the earth and earn some cool earth-friendly prizes as well.

All ages welcome, group or individuals. Pickup locations/areas can be requested, but it is on a first-come, first-served basis and parks are generally reserved for large groups with young children.

Earth Day Celebration
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You don’t have to participate in cleanup activities to celebrate Earth Day with us! Activities include puppet shows, Blue Thumb workshops on using native plants to improve local water quality, and educational stations where you can learn about the environment and win prizes!
