Lakeville’s Dakota Curling Club Recently Hosted National Tournament

Lakeville’s Dakota Curling Club recently held a national championship tournament.
According to Sun Thisweek Newspapers, the Dakota Curling, located in downtown Lakeville, hosted the 2018 Mixed National Curling Tournament March 24-31, with teams of four coming from all over the nation to participate.
The eight-day event was awarded to Dakota Curling six months ago and had more than 80 volunteers working about 1,000 hours during the event, the report said.
Each of the 10 teams in the tournament reportedly had to win a regional tournament in order to qualify for the national tournament. The winners, a team from North Dakota, will represent the United States at the world tournament in September.
