Executive Director of Teaching Named Outstanding Central Office Leader by MASA
A highly regarded leader in Lakeville, Barbara Knudsen, has been named an Outstanding Central Office Leader by the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA)! She was recognized as a top administrator through her on-going leadership efforts in all of the public schools.
Knudsen is the executive director of teaching and learning for the Lakeville district. She is being honored at an upcoming MASA Spring Conference this month, in Brooklyn Park! Recognized for her determination in making sure that taking risks, speaking with strong communication skills, and setting high expectations for herself helped her develop the school district.
Having been at the Lakeville district for more than 16 years, Knudsen developed a non-graded elementary school program, a high school business academy, and a digital learning department for the students and staff. She is truly deserving of the award, and will continue to make sure that the public school system is going to flourish. So if you have school-age children and are looking for a new home, perhaps Lakeville should be on your shopping list.
