Anonymous Donation to Lakeville Schools for Thanksgiving
Orchard Elementary School, in Lakeville, received an unexpected present. A letter attached with a $100 Cub Foods gift card, that simply requested it be given to a family in need this Thanksgiving. Later, found out 14 schools total in the area received the same notice.
This was a random act of kindness from an anonymous Lakeville couple. ‘Tis the season to give thanks for such generosity. Hoping that this selflessness will spread, some families will be able to have a big Thanksgiving meal this year!
According to KSTP, Deann Haugland, an office manager for Lakeville South High School, said schools sometimes receive gift cards throughout the year, but those typically range from $5 to $50. The school’s counselors and psychologists will decide which families will be receiving the generous donation.
