Tom+Chee’s Grilled Cheese Donut Comes to Indy Aug. 29
What do you get when you cross a grilled cheese sandwich with a donut? A Tom+Chee’s Grilled Cheese Donut of course! This delicious combination might make you a bit skeptical, but the growing popularity speaks for itself. The Cincinnati-based restaurant, once featured on TV’s Shark Tank, is now opening in Indianapolis Aug. 29 at 5650 W. 86th Street, in the Traders Point shopping area.
According to the Indianapolis Star article, Tom+Chee’s basic Grilled Cheese Donut puts cheddar between a glazed doughnut. Offerings get crazier from there, for instance the Mint Summer’s Night featuring mozzarella, chocolate mascarpone cheese, fresh strawberries and chocolate mint candy grilled betweed a glazed doughnut.
Not sold yet? The King doughnut combines fresh banana, peanut butter, mascarpone and mozzarella. Yum! This will be the fourth craft doughnut store to grace this growing city. Along with General American Donut Co., Square Donuts and the upcoming Rocket 88 there is going to be some competition – none of which has a grilled cheese donut.
Mark your calenders for the grand-opening of Tom+Chee’s 2,000-square-foot store on Aug. 29th at 10:30 a.m.
