Three Sisters Eatery Expands to a New Location
One of South Indy‘s favorite eateries is moving – not too far. Three Sisters Café has been a part of the community for more than 20 years. They are planning to leave their original location at 6363 Guilford Avenue and make the move just few blocks south to 6223 Guilford.
This delicious, unique restaurant was once featured on Food Network’s “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives” for its down-home meals, and options for healthy eaters. According to the IndyStar article, the menu features a mix of vegetarian, vegan and other health conscious options. Moira Sommers, co-owner of the diner, along with her husband Alexander Munroe love having their eclectic hot spot as a local’s favorite.
Three Sisters is taking the place of a former hair salon that retains many of its historic features. “We will lose none of the charms the building has now, if anything it will be even better,” Sommers said in the recent article. They knew they wanted to stay in the south Indianapolis area, their home for the last 22 years, and wanted to find a bigger place for their business.
The new place will have additional outdoor space, and some extra indoor seating. Also, the restaurant will now be handicap accessible and have over 30 parking spots for patrons to park (before it was only 5). Check out Three Sisters online at www.3sisterscafein.com.
