Community Cancer Center Opens its Doors in South Indy
Opening its doors for the first time last week, the 65,000 square-foot Community Cancer Center, located in South Indianapolis, is ready for patients. The huge investment was worth every penny once the doctors and patients learned how much easier visits, and treatments, are going to be for everyone. Spending roughly $24 million, the Community Health Network wanted to have a location on the Southside.
The idea behind the new cancer center is to enable patients to see multiple specialists and receive all their treatments in one visit. There is even a space for yoga, music and massage therapy for the patients in order to relax.
Located on the campus of Community Hospital South, 1440 E. County Line Road, in Indianapolis, the Community Cancer Center plans to better serve their local cancer patients. Other floors of the hospital are still undergoing construction – the radiation oncology unit won’t open until May 5th , while the third floor that serves breast cancer patients opens this summer.
