Beauty Bar Concept Combines Full Service Salon and Cocktails
Combine beauty and cocktails to get the perfect location for a day of pampering with girlfriends at the Beauty Bar at Geist. Indianapolis welcomes their first salon that serves alcohol to their guests, while getting their hair or nails done. Guests can enjoy a glass of wine and get a manicure at the same time.
It’s a concept that is more familiar to celebrities on the east or west coast, having the opportunity to enjoy a fancy martini at the beauty salon. Indy’s Beauty Bar is already getting the recognition they were hoping for after opening their doors at 11691 Fall Creek Road.
Offering a full service salon and bar makes them a bit more unique than the rest of the competition. According to the IndyStar article, Beauty Bar at Geist is Indianapolis’ first salon bar to legally serve alcohol while clients get pampered. This is a great place for a bachelorette party or the birthday girl to spend some time celebrating, Beauty Bar’s website notes.
“Dangerous,” said Shelly Fitzgerald, as she sat getting a pedicure with a glass of Pinot Grigio, in the recent article. “I absolutely love the concept.”
Owner Erin Hunt’s goal is to make it into a neighborhood salon for women to escape when they need relaxation. Referring to her place as “a whole women’s sports bar, one-stop shop kind of experience”, she owns the bar with her husband, Chad. Not only do they cater to women, but men find themselves coming in for a manicure, beer and ESPN.
The idea stemmed from their former home in South Florida and thought the idea would work wonderfully in Indianapolis. Formerly Reeda Todd’s Aveda Lifestyle Salon & Spa, the owners bought the space and made it their own concept.
“In one word, ‘amazing’, ” said Brandi Regenold, a color specialist at the Beauty Bar, in the article. “What more could a woman want?”
