The Chinook Tavern is definitely a unique place to dine in Greenwood Village. With a menu inspired by classic European cuisine, they offer fondue for a fun night of interacting and eating. Chef Markus specially crafted this menu to give Denver locals something that is meant to be shared. It is known as a relaxing, sociable atmosphere that allows guests to eat and drink in comfort. Executive Chef Georg knew he wanted to be a chef since the early age of five. “I have always loved cooking and I love the energy of a kitchen. The busier the kitchen, the better,” he said on their website.
Markus, on the other hand, is German-born and has been a resident of Colorado for 35 years now. His first job was a busboy at the Northwoods Inn in southwest Denver. From there he has created this magnificent place that people fight for reservations on weekend nights.
Using only the most fresh ingredients, and hours of preparation each day, the menu is made to perfection for Greenwood Village residents. Some of the favorite dishes include: Day boat scallops mille-feuille a la plancher, braised fennel, oven dried tomato, vanilla infused champagne beurre blanc and if that doesn’t get the taste buds drooling, try the 24oz Kurobuta pork T-bone, sour apple chutney, roasted fingerling potato, cider glaze, served in sizzling cast iron.
A Yelp review read, “Great atmosphere. Food is excellent. Decor is outstanding, Frau Georg had a stong hand in decorating and it shows very nicely. Lots of wood throughout and he has managed to absorb noise through his ceiling design. And with Clemens running the front end the new location will be the place of choice for the south Denver metro area. Try it!”
This is just one of many great restaurants found in Greenwood Village, with a variety of cultural choices there is no problem finding delicious food in this community.
