Greenwood Village Company Buys Detroit Apartment Complex
Greenwood Village-based Triton Investment Co. is continuing to expand its business.
According to DBusiness, the investment company just bought Town Apartments in Detroit and has plans to modernize them over the next 18 months.
“The deal marks the ninth residential project in Detroit in recent years by Triton Investment,” the business journal said. “Earlier this year, the company acquired five properties along and near East Jefferson Avenue — Kean Apartments, Hibbard Apartment Building, Van Dyke Manor, Parker Residences, and most recently, Trombley Lodge Apartments, a three-story structure that offers 40 units.”
Renovations reportedly include new cabinetry, kitchens and flooring, as well as updating the hallways with new fixtures and finishes, and upgrading the fitness center.
Triton describes itself as an “entrepreneurial real estate investment firm” that aims to acquire, rehabilitate, and then manage properties. The firm owns thousands of apartment units throughout the Denver metro area, as well as several hundred thousand feet of office space.
