Golf Charity Event Set for New Police Foundation
Greenwood Village is all about helping each other out, especially when it comes to a new organization geared towards keeping the community safe. The new Greenwood Village Police Foundation plans to host a fund raising golf event to bring residents and officers together.
“We really want citizens to get to meet our officers, we’re featuring the department,” said Police Chief John Jackson in a Greenwood Villager article. “We’ll follow the tournament with a wrap up dinner, complete with “major prizes.”
The fundraiser is set for Sept. 15 at the Glenmoor Country Club, located at 110 Glenmoor Drive. This is a different kind of golf event where they will pair citizens with the city’s finest for a day of golf and lunch.
Jackson went on to say, “We’ve set up [the foundation] to raise funds to support our police officer’s families if they are injured or killed in the line of duty.”
There are 36 citizen-officer slots for the charity golf event. Call Crystal Dean at 303-486-8226 or email her at email@example.com for more information.
