Cherry Creek Ranked Among the Nation’s Best High Schools

Greenwood Village’s Cherry Creek High School is among the top high schools in nation. The school recently received a gold medal ranking and a spot on the 2015 Best High Schools list by U.S. News & World Report.

According to U.S. News & World Report, a total of 119 Colorado schools made the Best High Schools list with 14 schools receiving gold medal ranking, 34 receiving silver, and 71 receiving bronze. Cherry Creek ranked No. 14 in the state overall.

Other area schools that received the gold medal ranking were the Denver Center for International Studies, Kipp Denver Collegiate High School, DSST: Stapleton High School, and Peak to Peak Charter School in Lafayette. The top ranked school in the state was Liberty Common Charter School.

Data on more than 21,000 public high schools was evaluated, and U.S. News ranked them based on their performance on state assessment tests and how well students are prepared for college.
